There’s no surprise that tickets are selling out across the country for each stop of this year’s Monumentour, featuring co-headliners Fall Out Boy and Paramore. The two bands are household names that sit atop the scene with big album sales and smash singles. Instead, the biggest surprise may come to the tour’s attendees when they hear opening act New Politics.
The alt-rock band hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, has been slowly making their mark in the rock world since their 2010 self-titled debut. Last year, things really took off with their breakthrough album A Bad Girl in Harlem, which melds the best of indie rock and indie pop with accessible, yet deep cuts. The band created enough buzz to hop on some dates of Fall Out Boy’s reunion tour and P!nk’s The Truth About Love tour last year, where they continued to grow their following.
Now New Politics is set to strut their stuff on an even bigger stage, warming things up for FOB and Paramore at amphitheaters around the country. Be sure to grab their new album on iTunes and check out their new music video and tour dates below:
