Chances are, you’re familiar with the name There For Tomorrow. The Orlando, Fla., alt rock band burst into the scene’s consciousness with a self-titled 2008 EP, follwed by their 2009 full-length A Little Faster. The band then hit the road on a few high profile tours, including the 2009 Vans Warped Tour. Since then, the band has been bubbling on the surface, gaining a dedicated following.
After releasing their 2011 album The Verge, There For Tomorrow hit the tour circuit again before largely stepping away from the spotlight last year. It appears that the band has used their time away wisely, as they have resurfaced with a brand new track “Dark Purple Sky”, the first single from their currently untitled upcoming release.
The powerful track is a bit of a departure from the band’s previous work – which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. “Dark Purple Sky” carries an epic arena rock feel with an absolutely massive chorus from lead singer Maika Maile. In short, it may be the band’s most impressive work to date. You can check out the new song below:
The new track has fans eager for more, but in the meantime, you can buy the song on iTunes. Be sure to keep an eye out for news on the band’s upcoming release later this year!
