In a shocking turn of events, Yellowcard drummer Longineu “LP” Parsons III has announced his departure from the band. A brief statement from the band on the matter can be found below:

“Longineu has decided to pursue other musical interests. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”

Although the band has begun working on their new album, they have not announced a replacement at this time. Parsons has served as drummer for the band since their inception in 1997 and became not only a fan favorite, but one of the most respected drummers in the scene.

LP will certainly be missed by fans. What are your thoughts on the split? Share your thoughts and Yellowcard/LP memories in the replies.
