After a decade apart, the original trio is back together again with a new album in the works and an expensive tour circling the globe. Blink-182’s reunion was one of last year’s biggest surprises, and new single “Edging”, while not the group’s best work, proved to be a hit.
The magic of Blink-182 comes from Mark, Tom, and Travis playing off of each other, mixing juvenile humor with serious themes and bouncing guitars. With the band putting past grievances aside and Mark’s recent recovery from cancer, the group have a lot to get off their chests.
Whether the new iteration of Blink manages to recapture the spirit of their youth, create something entirely new, or just stay together beyond this tour cycle, fans are happy to see the group not just reunited, but happy.
