death-cab-for-cutie-2023

Death Cab for Cutie did release an album in 2022: Asphalt Meadows. I didn’t listen to it much, as I’m more of a classic DCFC fan, but an album is not why they’re present in my Most Anticipated this year. Back in early December, they announced a 20-year anniversary tour where they’re playing Transatlanticism in full. Now that’s enough to be excited for, a celebration of a quintessential album for me and the chance to hear it live, but then they announced the opener. The Postal Service. Playing Give Up.

So, naturally, I signed up for presale. AND I GOT TICKETS. So far this is my only show for 2023, and honestly I might be okay with that. I wasn’t a Postal Service fan in 2014 when they reunited for the first time so it didn’t really hit me how monumental that was at the time, so the fact that now I get to experience it again with renewed appreciation is something I’m grateful and really excited for.
