I love an artist that releases projects like clockwork, and if everything stays on track, we are due for a new release from Lorde this year. 2021’s Solar Power wasn’t my favorite, but honestly how could anyone follow up an album like 2017’s Melodrama? I truly believe she will never top that, but I may just be biased because of how much I love that album (still robbed for Album of the Year Grammy).

Lorde has been doing a lot of traveling and potentially writing a book on her time in Iceland, and the only inkling we have of new music is a one-second video posted to her Instagram in July. She has been teasing various aesthetics for the new album era, but nothing concrete has come our way, but I’m holding out hope that she’ll be back this year.
