Most Anticipated of 2023: Fall Out Boy Send Love From the Other Side

It has been YEARS since we’ve heard any new music solely by Fall Out Boy. Their last official release was their second volume of best-of tracks: Believers Never Die in 2019. And I guess that ended up being true, because I never stopped believing we’d get at least one more album from Fall Out Boy. With Panic! At the Disco releasing last year, and Paramore’s release coming up soon, we seem primed for an official return from the final member of the 2010s’ Emo Trinity.

I started thinking about them a couple of months ago but didn’t think anything would come from it. In December fans started getting postcards that said “Greetings from: Pink Seashell Beach,” with a url: “sending my love from pink seashell beach dot com”. Originally there was a message that said “Do not open before Christmas,” a classic FOB reference. Well, I went to the site today before writing this and there is still a pink seashell on the home page. Only now when I click on it it says “The beach was never real, none of it is.” So either we’ve been played or this is the new Fall Out Boy era. Not shiny and pink, but dark and sinister – the other side of the apocalypse.

Update: A new track, “Love from the Other Side”, dropped today: January 18. The new album, So Much (For) Stardust drops on March 24.
